Governor Brown made big news with a historic mandate to reduce our state’s water consumption by 25%. Let’s do more than educate people about how they can save water and energy on their own. With Bear’s help they’ll understand the connection, and work together to stop it from happening in the first place.
Hydrophobic Stencils
When people see rain, they think the drought is over. To raise awareness about this misconception we used a hydrophobic coating to make stencils that appear when it rains.
The Bear Stare Game
We used facial recognition software to
track
facial expressions and eye blinks.
While people are locked into a staring match, Bear will educate people with water and energy saving tips, and maybe a joke or two.
Sometimes bear would try and break your concentration.
And sometimes you just have to dance.
While in the mist of a stare down, the user's webcam will also take pictures of you when you blink.
Social Extension
What better way to raise awareness about the
California drought than taking a road trip around
California with the one and only Governor Jerry Brown.
Unfortunately Jerry Brown was busy so it's up to Bear to get creative.
